About Us

Welcome to Skoga - a nursing home beautifully located in Huvudsta with a view over Ulvsundasjön.

Skoga is Solna's only nursing home operated by the municipality. Here, there are 100 residents and about 120 employees. We have a mixed staff group with a variety of competencies and are passionate about what we do, taking great pride in our work.

Our profile is garden, nature, and outdoor activities. We care about providing a varied everyday life for our residents with both physical and social activities such as celebrating holidays, movie screenings, garden café, and exercise.

We have units for residents with high care needs and for those with dementia. We also have some short-term places and respite care.

What Does the Job Involve?

As a care assistant at Skoga Elderly Center, your mission is to create a safe environment for the residents together with your colleagues. You will provide good care and plan and carry out activities and outdoor experiences with the residents, for example in our beautiful garden, with the goal of ensuring that the residents have a meaningful everyday life. As a care assistant, you will also work closely with the responsible nurse and paramedics and perform medical interventions as delegated.

You should be able to work 3-5 shifts a week, including every other weekend, as needed.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has

• care assistant education or ongoing education in another licensed healthcare profession
• experience in care and support work
• good digital skills
• good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written)
• good knowledge of social documentation.

We consider it an advantage if you have an approved protected professional title as a care assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

In the role of care assistant, you need to be a secure and empathetic person who is willing to take initiative. To succeed, we believe it is important that you have good collaboration skills and can adapt to changing circumstances. You are a person who considers the best interests of the entire organization in your actions and can plan and organize your work effectively and in a structured way.
