We are now looking for an experienced occupational therapist for our operation Ekhöjden in Stockholm, Sundbyberg.

Ekhöjden is a care and nursing home divided into five departments with 13 apartments per floor. One department is somatic, the others are for people with dementia diagnoses. Here, 65 elderly people reside.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of occupational therapist, you will have your own responsibility to perform occupational therapy-based interventions within elderly care. Your work focuses on supporting the elderly individual in both physical and cognitive challenges. You will work both independently and in a team, performing functional and activity assessments as well as leading training activities. Additionally, it includes trial-adjusting and prescribing aids, as well as instructing, delegating, and mentoring care staff. You will also collaborate closely with other professional groups such as physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants. Furthermore, it includes reporting on the individual’s activity ability at care planning meetings.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a colleague for part-time permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period with an employment rate of 80%.

• Licensed occupational therapist
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
