Birger Jarls Gymnasium is looking for a school nurse for a parental leave position from February 1 to December 31, possibly longer. The position involves being one of the participants in the school's student health team (EHT), performing the medical interventions of student health.

The assignment involves collaboration with students, guardians, staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

You will work together with the other members of the student health team and in cooperation with the school management to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. You will be responsible for documenting in Prorenata and should therefore have experience with this system.

The assignment includes the usual tasks associated with the position in preventive and health-promoting work.

You are expected to be independent in your work but also able to collaborate with the school's teachers, other members of the student health team, and school management.

Brief information:

• The position is 15-20% according to agreement - one day/week.
• Start February 1 or according to agreement
• Fixed-term employment from February 1 to December 31, with the possibility of extension

About you:

You are a school nurse and possess medical competence, through for example, specialist nursing education in Health and Medical Care for Children and Youth, District Nurse, or the School Nurse Program at the University of Skövde, or other relevant education and/or experience.

You are communicative, attentive, and have good collaboration skills, as well as being able to work independently with planning, prioritization, structure, and follow-up. In addition to medical competencies, you should have a strong student focus.

You should have previous experience working in a school, preferably from a high school setting.

About the school:

Birger Jarls Gymnasium in Stockholm started in the autumn of 2018. The school currently has around 230 students.

The school offers two college preparatory programs:

- The Economic Program with specializations in economics and law.

- The Social Science Program with specializations in social science as well as media and behavior.
