Are you interested in working with intensive interventions for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric issues?
We are now expanding our staff in line with our extended mission.
Apply for a unique position where the specific competence of the specialist nurse makes a difference every day.
The BUP Intensive Outpatient section receives children and adolescents with complex child psychiatric symptomatology that significantly impacts their level of functioning. Often requiring intensive treatment and extensive collaboration. This includes our Intermediate Care Units, Day Care, Trauma Unit, and DBT team, along with the Unit for Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder, working together to tailor specialized treatment plans. We are now seeking to strengthen our team with a specialist nurse for BUP's unit for psychosis and bipolar disorder. The unit's mission is to quickly assess and treat children and adolescents with symptoms within the psychosis and bipolar spectrum, a mission that is now being expanded to consolidate and develop care for patients with treatment-resistant depression.
The unit's approach is based on FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) and is characterized by high medical competence, accessibility, flexibility, and person-centered care.
Job Description
You will work in a FACT team alongside doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, where you will be responsible for the nursing-specific components of the teamwork. Treatment for symptoms as well as increased autonomy, functionality, and a meaningful existence are important goals in our patients' rehabilitation. You will also have overall responsibility as a primary care contact (FVK) for some of the team's patients, providing crisis support and psychoeducation to patients and families, and following many of them until their 18th birthday. You work integratively with the patient and their network and can assess when other interventions need to be introduced.
As a specialist nurse, you will conduct assessments, medication follow-ups, patient and relative education (PNU), and health conversations. You will implement or initiate interventions where metabolic side effects are a prioritized area. There is room for you to specialize in assessment and treatment within our target group and to help develop the care we provide.
Qualifications
A valid nursing license is required. We are primarily looking for you who are a specialist nurse in psychiatry, alternatively in child/adolescent or district nursing with experience of independent work. You have experience in child and adolescent psychiatry or psychiatry and the ability to build good alliances with families to support them in the treatment process. Experience in case management, FACT, as well as level 1 in family therapy and CBT is an advantage.
Personal Attributes
You have good collaboration skills, work independently with high flexibility. You enjoy both learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues and have a pedagogical approach to the patient and their network. You have a positive outlook and work to strengthen families' own abilities. You are structured and view evaluation and development as part of your work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
We Offer You
A stimulating and meaningful job with competent colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. We offer a dynamic learning environment that also makes the work exciting and varied, both within the unit and within our section. With us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction with a mentor, as well as opportunities for education and supervision. Our reception is characterized by high engagement for our patients and good collaboration. We look forward to having you as our new colleague! We offer benefits such as occupational pension, flexible hours, wellness hour, and a generous wellness allowance of 5000 SEK per year.
We hope we have captured your interest; we believe that you will thrive with us!
