Job Responsibilities
Stadsfastigheter is now seeking two project managers for fire protection technical facilities for the Protection Section. As part of Stadsfastigheter's local supply mission, the responsibility includes being Malmö city's service and system owner for the city's fire and safety systems. This entails a comprehensive responsibility for managing, developing, and project managing fire and safety systems that meet the needs of operations and address the specific threats and risks present. This responsibility includes ensuring that safety systems are effective, updated, and adapted to requirements. Through this work, Stadsfastigheter contributes to creating safe, secure, and functional premises for the city's operations.
As a project manager, you will lead and develop fire protection technical facilities, working with the following tasks:
- Project management of new installations and replacement of existing fire protection technical facilities in the city's properties and external rentals such as automatic fire alarms, spoken evacuation alarms, sprinklers, extinguishing systems like Ansulex, and similar systems.
- Development of technical and functional requirements in procurements, orders, and internal design instructions.
- Monitoring and quality assurance of fire protection technical facilities to ensure they meet requirements and purposes.
- Preparation of financial budgeting for new installations and replacements.
- Long-term planning of maintenance work for fire protection technical facilities.
- Lead the takeover of fire protection technical facilities in internal properties and external rentals for the change of new facility owners to Stadsfastigheter.
- Support the city's operations in identifying current and future needs for fire protection technical solutions.
- Participate in the development of guiding instructions and guidelines for the city's fire protection technical facilities within the framework of operational protection.
- Collaborate and develop solutions together with colleagues in the protection section, Southern Rescue Service, alarm centers, and facility managers at municipal technology.
- Plan and conduct information and training initiatives related to fire protection technical facilities.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in fire protection or a related technical field. You have at least four years of experience working with fire protection technical facilities, for example as a project manager, designer, technician, consultant, or fire protection coordinator. You have a good understanding of the entire process from design and installation to commissioning, inspection, and management, and are accustomed to working in projects with multiple actors and stakeholders. You have experience with fire protection technical systems such as automatic fire alarms, spoken evacuation alarms, sprinkler systems, and extinguishing systems like Ansulex, as well as a good understanding of both hardware and software. We prefer that you have fire protection-related industry training, such as fire protection coordinator or authorized engineer, as well as a good knowledge of applicable regulations and standards such as the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's building regulations (BBR chapter 5) and SBF 110, 120, and 502. You have good knowledge of Office 365 and are accustomed to working in digital project and documentation systems. Experience from public property management, public procurement, and contracting forms, as well as collaboration with Southern Rescue Service, alarm centers, and fire protection contractors is advantageous, as is knowledge of systematic fire protection work. As a person, you are brave, loyal, and unpretentious with high integrity. You are structured, communicative, and engaged, enjoy driving projects in close collaboration with safety and fire protection specialists, and contribute to a positive work culture and high quality in deliveries.
