About the Department
The Defense Staff supports the Supreme Commander by handling and preparing matters at a military strategic level, ensuring that decisions made by the authority's management are implemented, followed up, and reported back. The Defense Staff is also responsible for translating the government's guidance of the Armed Forces into strategic plans and directing the branches of the armed forces and combat forces. Furthermore, the Defense Staff has an overarching responsibility to coordinate infrastructure and material supply.
The Security Department is placed under the Chief of the Defense Staff and is responsible for the security service within the Chief of the Defense Staff's operational responsibility. The department consists of the Security Section, SUA Section, and Conscription Security Section.
This position is located at the SUA Section. The SUA Section is to provide methodological support and training within the SUA area to the entire Armed Forces. The SUA Section is also responsible for quality assuring consultations regarding exposure of security-sensitive activities and makes decisions regarding initiating consultations with the supervisory authority. The department and section collaborate with all branches of the armed forces and combat forces as well as with nearby authorities.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop routines and methods and provide support to branches of the armed forces and combat forces when the Armed Forces expose security-sensitive activities
- Quality assure and prepare the Armed Forces' consultation matters
- Develop the operations to meet the new requirements set by the alliance (NATO)
- Develop and conduct training within the section's area of responsibility for the entire Armed Forces
- Develop the Armed Forces' process regarding exposure of security-sensitive activities
You will work both independently and together with your colleagues in various types of workgroups. You are an important part of building the section and driving the work towards set goals. The Armed Forces are experiencing strong growth, and the tasks may evolve over time.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Relevant education in the security protection area (e.g., security coordinator or certified security protection manager) and/or knowledge acquired in other ways that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Several years of current and relevant work experience in the security protection area
- Good knowledge and current experience of legislation, roles, responsibilities, and practices within the area of exposure of security-sensitive activities
- Experience in conducting and delivering training in the security protection area
- Approved high school diploma
- Good ability to communicate and express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

Other
Employment form: Permanent employment. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Travel may occur in the position.
