Are you a nurse at the beginning of your career, or uncertain about your next career step? Do you find nursing competence not only interesting but vital?

At the lung department, we utilize an introductory program for nurses that includes a structured onboarding lasting 1-3 months, where you are guided by experienced nurses, given time to deepen your knowledge, shadow different operations, and more, all to prepare you for the profession.

When you are ready and curious to learn even more, there are great opportunities for development within the clinic: in addition to the care department, we conduct nurse-led outpatient clinics, investigations, and research projects – in short, there is room for you to grow as a nurse! Welcome to Norrbotten's only lung department!

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Someone who has curiosity in the profession and wants to deepen your knowledge of the respiratory system. Someone who is attracted to the pace of acute care in the ward and wants to build a solid foundation in the profession.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you are engaged and interested in developing as a nurse.

It is not how many years you have in the profession that matters, but we believe it is you we need!

This is what you will work with

The respiratory system encompasses many organs, and you will therefore gain broad nursing competence in nursing techniques, various investigation methods, medication management, and medical technical equipment. We actively encourage our staff to develop their knowledge and skills within the profession, and the competence development occurs during working hours; through internal training, continuing education courses, or shadowing. In the workgroup, we have good cohesion, we help each other, and value job satisfaction highly.

We believe in the right to be new – in the profession or at the workplace - and support you on the journey from novice to expert; through a long introductory program, internal training, and shadowing. When you feel ready, there is also the opportunity for you to take on your own areas of responsibility to develop our operations!

This is what we offer you

- A present and engaged manager
- A 1-3 month long introductory program
- Development and career opportunities where you can help shape the future of health and care
- Internal training and other opportunities to deepen your knowledge, for example by shadowing in the clinic's other units
- A tailored onboarding where you regularly check in with the unit manager
