International Officer with Leadership Experience

We are now looking for an international officer with leadership experience and a strong drive for international material cooperation. Do you want to work in a coordinating role with multiple points of contact? Then you might be the one we are looking for. With us, you will have the opportunity to use your skills where they truly make a difference – both today and in the future.

About the Position

As an international officer, you will be part of the system management department within the logistics operational area. The department has the overarching responsibility to ensure that the material systems developed, procured, and delivered to the Armed Forces work together and meet all specified requirements throughout their lifecycle. The department supports both its own operations and other FMV in the work with international collaborations and relations, research and development, and design management.

In the role of international officer, you are responsible for developing, consolidating, and coordinating international material collaborations within the area of common material systems. In this work, you will have the opportunity to develop strategies, routines, and structures for how international issues regarding, for example, NATO and the EU should be handled. Preparation of cases from, for example, FMV's management and finance staff and legal and security staff is included in the position, as well as consolidating those working with international issues within your own operational area. The role includes some financial responsibility.

You have a supportive role towards the operational manager in the international area and act as a contact person in international matters both internally and externally.

The position is located in Stockholm. Travel in the position is included, both domestically and internationally.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education in, for example, political science, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as comparable. To succeed in the role, you need to have several years of current experience from a leadership role, such as project manager or manager. The position requires good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have experience from working in an international organization as well as experience in preparing cases, primarily in government or within other public sectors. If you have relevant experience in working with analysis, planning, and follow-up, we see it as a positive. If you have knowledge of and/or experience in change management, we believe it will help you in the role. It is a plus if you have experience with FMV's operations and processes, but it is not a requirement.

Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, is receptive, and solves problems constructively. You create engagement and participation and have the ability to engage and inspire others. We also see that you take initiative as well as have the ability to change direction when needed. Furthermore, you have the ability to plan and organize your work effectively.
