IT Security Specialist at Tillväxtverket

The IT unit is responsible for system management, infrastructure, and development. The unit is also responsible for the Nyps system, which Tillväxtverket develops and manages. The system includes, among other things, e-services for companies, processing clients, as well as applications for statistics, monitoring, and reporting.

To support our operations moving forward, we are now seeking reinforcement in our infrastructure team in the form of an IT security specialist. The team works agilely and has good opportunities for remote work (at least 40% in the office).

About the position

Your main task is to ensure that systems and infrastructure are designed, developed, implemented, and monitored according to applicable security standards and procedures.

As an IT security specialist, you will also support the organization in increasing understanding of IT security and contribute to ensuring that Tillväxtverket has an accessible, stable, and secure IT environment. Incident management is an important part of your daily work. You will security test and analyze both local and cloud-based services from a security perspective and based on analyses propose guidelines, principles, frameworks, processes, and improvements that address threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.

It also includes developing and ensuring structure, policies, and regulations regarding identity and access management. Tillväxtverket applies the principle of least privilege to perform its work.

You will have access to security tools to support your work, such as SIEM and EDR.

Your workplace will be: Stockholm or Östersund

We are looking for someone who has:

• An IT security background with an IT-related academic degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience working with IT security issues and tools such as SEIM, EDR, or NDR
• Experience acting as a technical project manager during larger changes in the area
• Experience working with classified information
• Experience implementing solutions for secure communication

Experience and knowledge to drive security-related changes in at least four of the following areas:

• Infrastructure and System Architecture
• Network and Data Communication
• Encryption Solutions
• Identity and Access Management (IAM, PAM)
• Certificate Management (PKI)

The following are meritorious:

• Experience with outsourced IT operations in larger organizations as a customer and/or supplier
• Knowledge of standards for frameworks and guidelines for information and IT security (SS-ISO/IEC 27000, ISO/IEC 27002, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of IT security issues within public operations
• Experience and ability to secure and audit Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with security reviews of in-house developed systems
• Experience working with pm3 or similar management models
• Experience working in agile teams with user-driven development and stakeholders with diverse needs
• Experience hardening systems, services, etc.
• Knowledge of load balancing services, e.g., Citrix Netscaler
• Certifications in IT security that may be relevant to the position

Employment form and application deadline

The employment is a permanent position. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

The position is classified in a security class and requires Swedish citizenship. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
