Do you thrive in roles where structure, accuracy, and service go hand in hand? Do you enjoy working administratively but also want to have contact with people and feel that your work truly makes a difference? Then the role of Product Administrator at SEG could be just right for you.
With us, you will work with product data that is central to the entire electrical industry, in a role that combines order and systematics with support, guidance, and sometimes even training.
About the role – and why it is important
SEG is the trade organization for electrical wholesalers in Sweden. Our most important task is to provide and develop the E-number database, the common product database for electrical wholesalers.
The E-number database collects product information that is crucial for the industry to function efficiently: logistics information, technical descriptions, images, documents, and a growing share of environmental and climate data. When the information is correct and structured, it saves time, reduces errors, and contributes to both business benefits and sustainability efforts.
As a Product Administrator, you are a key person in this work.
This is what you will be working on
In this role, you will support new and existing suppliers in the work of registering and enriching their products in the E-number database. The work is largely administrative but also involves ongoing contact with users who need support and guidance.
This may involve handling applications for E-numbers, quality assuring product data such as texts, images, and documents, answering questions via email and phone, and contributing to improving our working methods and guides. Occasionally, you will also conduct shorter training sessions or system overviews – a smaller but appreciated and enjoyable part of the role.
How it is to work at SEG
SEG is a small organization with five employees. This means short decision-making paths, close collaboration, and good opportunities to influence how we work. You will work closely with SEG's other Product Administrator and in close cooperation with the rest of the team and our users. You report directly to the CEO.
The role suits you who enjoy responsibility, independent work, and at the same time appreciate being part of a small, unpretentious team.
Who do we think you are?
To thrive and succeed in the role of Product Administrator, we believe you have a knack for creating structure and a natural sense for flows and processes. You have the ability to see both the big picture and the details. You appreciate combining administrative, sometimes monotonous, tasks with supporting our users and designing and conducting training sessions. You are meticulous and responsible, have an unpretentious attitude, are communicative, and solution-oriented.
You don’t need to know everything from the start, but you need to enjoy a role where administration, quality, and user support are closely intertwined.
Qualifications
High school diploma with work experience, or post-secondary education in a relevant field.
Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel.
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience from wholesale operations, electrical engineering products, or product data management is a plus but not a requirement. Familiarity with the E-number database is an advantage.
