System Administrator at KTH

Do you want to work in a multifaceted role where you switch between operational tasks and strategic work? KTH is looking for a system administrator with a holistic view and a good understanding of the HR department's needs for efficient and user-friendly system support and the value of these.

Welcome with your application!

About the role

The direction forward is to implement system support in personnel supply that supports the entire chain from pre-, on- and offboarding as well as competence development and learning in the workplace. The long-term goal is also system support linked to the competence supply process and management of HR master data.

Responsibilities

The work includes both ongoing operational tasks and more complex, development-oriented initiatives. You are responsible for ensuring the quality, availability, and user experience of the systems through, for example, ongoing operations, user support, access administration, and training efforts.

The role also means that you contribute to change and development projects and, together with others in the team, work on common tasks such as registry maintenance, compilations, and data analysis.

Here you have the opportunity over time, with a change-oriented approach and curiosity about new solutions, to translate technical possibilities into sustainable operational benefits within the authority's IT and HR processes.

About the department/group

As a system administrator, you will be part of the HR system function with eight employees and work in accordance with KTH's management model with operational management, development, decommissioning, and maintenance of system support within the HR/PA area. You contribute to the holistic perspective within HR's system landscape in close collaboration with colleagues in HR, IT, and other parts of the organization where we learn from each other.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone with personal maturity who is confident in both dialogue and decision-making, even when the issues are complex. You are structured and follow up on both operational and more strategic tasks in a systematic way.

Your holistic view allows you to see how systems, data, users, and processes are interconnected in a larger organizational context, and your ability to maintain focus over time when the change work is long-term.

Since the role involves many contact points in the borderland between HR, IT, and other parts of the organization, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and build relationships in a humble and attentive manner.
