On Gotland, there are several special accommodations distributed across six locations.

We who work here have the mission to assist the elderly around the clock with various interventions. Assistant nurses, residential assistants, and nurses work in teams to provide our clients with the conditions to live a meaningful and dignified life. With the client at the center, we work with individual implementation plans, where the work is planned and executed based on our values: trust, care, and participation.

Syréngården is a dementia residence located centrally in Roma, about twenty kilometers from Visby. The accommodation has 19 places spread over two floors. We have a large mature garden with walking paths, a nice pavilion, and close to forest areas.

Syréngården is certified in Silviahemmet's care philosophy, which characterizes our working methods. At Syréngården, assistant nurses, residential assistants, nurses, unit managers, and rehabilitation staff work together. Our commitment and expertise provide our residents with a meaningful everyday life and a dignified existence.

Your Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse/residential assistant at Syréngården, you will:

• Work person-centered together with your colleagues, focusing on the individual's needs and wishes.
• Perform standard care tasks based on the residents' needs.
• Provide personal care.
• Manage medications and delegated health care tasks.
• Handle household chores.
• Plan and execute activities based on individual wishes and needs.
• Act as a contact person, which means being responsible for establishing and following up on implementation plans as well as communication and collaboration with relatives.

The work is scheduled according to a basic schedule with shifts during the day, evening, and every other weekend.

Who are you?

You who are applying for the position as an assistant nurse have a certified assistant nurse education. To be employed as an assistant nurse, you must meet the requirements to use the protected professional title according to current regulations. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in care and/or elderly care.

For the role of residential assistant, it is desirable that you have a complete high school education. It is advantageous if you have an education focused on care and support, for example, as a care assistant. Previous experience in care and/or elderly care is also advantageous.

Since the unit handles cognitive/medical disabilities, BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia) and palliative care, it is also advantageous if you have experience in these areas.

As a person, you are confident in both yourself and your professional role. You work in a structured manner, have an easy time collaborating, and enjoy being part of a team. You are flexible and see daily challenges as an opportunity for learning and development. To thrive in the role, you have a good ability to adapt your approach and demeanor based on different individuals and situations. You are curious, open to new working methods, and actively contribute to the development of the organization – both independently and together with colleagues.

It is important that you are confident in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as all communication and documentation occur in Swedish.

We will place great emphasis on engagement, collaboration skills, and personal suitability.

As part of Region Gotland, we at the social administration work with social interventions such as counseling, support, and treatment. Our areas of operation include social services, home healthcare, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities throughout Gotland.
