In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Fältgatan

In the heart of Visby, you will find our operations: special housing at Fältgatan 77 and dementia care at Fältgatan 75.

Here, care assistants, support workers, and nurses work closely together, aiming to provide our elderly with security, support, and care – around the clock. A doctor is also present once a week.

Fältgatan 77 has 27 apartments spread over three floors, one of which is specially adapted for people with dementia. Fältgatan 75 is a dementia care facility with three floors and eight places on each floor.

With us, the resident is always at the center. Together, we develop individual implementation plans based on our values: trust, care, and participation. Our mission is to create conditions for a meaningful and dignified life for each individual. Together, we share a pleasant garden with a pavilion, pond, and walking paths. There is also a spacious outdoor area where both residents and staff can enjoy socializing and fresh air.

We offer you a varied and meaningful job where you have the opportunity to make a real difference in other people's lives. Here, you will have competent colleagues as well as access to professional development and wellness programs.

Your Responsibilities

As a care assistant/support worker, you will work together with colleagues to motivate and support the elderly in maintaining habits and routines through a rehabilitative approach. You will perform care tasks such as personal care, medication administration, delegated health and social care tasks, household chores, escorting, and activities based on needs and wishes.

The role includes being a contact person, which means responsibility for implementation plans, documentation of health and social care tasks, and contact with relatives.

Within special housing, we work with internal mobility, which means that you may also work in other departments and units as needed. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Who Are You?

We primarily seek someone who is a trained care assistant. To be employed as a care assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations.

As a support worker, you should have completed a secondary education. It is advantageous to have some form of education focused on care and support, such as a care aide. We prefer that you have previously worked in the care profession and/or elderly care.

As a person, you feel secure both in yourself and in your professional role. You maintain your calm even when the pace is high and meet situations with care and professionalism. With your good judgment and social skills, you build trusting relationships that create a good collaboration with residents, colleagues, and relatives.

You easily adapt to different individuals' needs, are flexible, and see the variation in everyday life as both exciting and developing. With your initiative and independence, you take responsibility for your work while enjoying collaborating in a team. It is important that you are comfortable with the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish.
