About the position

The neurology ward investigates and cares for various neurological diseases. Your mission will be to work together with doctors, nursing assistants, and health professionals to create the best possible conditions for good care. Our mission is highly specialized neurological nursing and advanced medical treatment. We have a special focus on patients with neuromuscular diseases where respiratory care is an important component.

We have different levels of care, and you will provide care with monitoring of consciousness, breathing, circulation, and neurological functions. The department also has specific treatments such as NIV, cough machines, as well as medication adjustments and intravenous treatments for various neurological conditions. Our highly specialized round-the-clock operations are staff-intensive, meaning you will always have the support of experienced colleagues.

We are looking for someone who

• has a strong commitment to neurology and acute neurological care and always puts the patient at the center
• wants to work in a highly specialized hospital, where the pace is high and the tasks are varied
• is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between the personal and professional, and behave in a way that is adapted to the situation
• has good collaboration skills and is active in professional contexts where you create and maintain relationships
• makes correct priorities and can make quick decisions even under time pressure, weighing complex information and showing good judgment
• works systematically with complex issues by analyzing problems and breaking them down into manageable parts to find solutions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Good knowledge of respiratory aids
• Experience in handling directly from the emergency department.
