About the position

The Medical Unit (ME) Radiation Therapy is part of the Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Center in Solna. We offer highly specialized radiation therapy for both children and adults – and with our over 100 employees, we are one of Sweden's largest and most advanced radiation therapy departments. Here we work with the latest technology and with the patient in focus, every day!

As an X-ray nurse in the preparatory part of ME Radiation Therapy, you will play an important role in the patient's care journey. You will, among other things:

  • prepare imaging data for dose planning and create fixations
  • be the patient's first contact before radiation therapy – focusing on safety, reception, and clear information
  • inform about the upcoming treatment and pay attention to the patient's needs, abilities, and any limitations to ensure the best possible care.

You will document your work in Take Care and Aria, and become part of an engaged team that makes a real difference for our patients.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed X-ray Nurse with experience in CT and MRI or Licensed Nurse with specialist training in radiation therapy

Desirable:

  • Master's degree in CT or MRI
  • Training in radiation therapy
  • Work experience from a radiation therapy department.
