Healthcare Expert at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

The section for operational processes in prisons/remand is organizationally placed at the national department for operational content at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's headquarters. The section has the overarching task of standardizing, developing, and improving high-quality operational content for the organization, tailored to the needs of different client groups and the possibility of a life without crime. The section is also responsible for developing and ensuring national leadership and governance of the healthcare mission.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a healthcare expert, you will be part of the team working on healthcare development within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service at the national level. The position will provide support in the healthcare issues that are managed centrally within the organization.

Using various working methods and approaches, you will work on national development efforts in healthcare issues. This involves investigating, analyzing, and preparing cases for decision, as well as nationally implementing new working methods and positions primarily within healthcare issues. You will also assist with a healthcare perspective regarding the development of operational content and contribute to establishing and managing contracts and requirements during the development of systems for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's healthcare. External contacts, training initiatives, and travel are part of the role. You will report directly to the section manager.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary academic education in healthcare, or other education in combination with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Several years of experience in healthcare
• Experience from independent work with tasks requiring development, coordination, implementation, quality assurance, and follow-up
• Experience in development work with a national or regional focus, preferably related to change and implementation work in healthcare
• Current experience in healthcare within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service or another government agency
• Knowledge of applicable legislation for healthcare operations
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in investigative work and/or project work
