JOB DESCRIPTION

Kriminalvården provides certain health and medical care, which means that all prisons and remand prisons have medical care facilities where inmates can seek care. At Hinseberg, there is a medical care facility at the remand prison and one at the prison where four nurses work together. In addition to nurses, there is also an employed psychologist as well as hired doctors, psychiatrists, midwives, and physiotherapists. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing conditions of both somatic and psychiatric nature, but you will also assess which applicants should see a doctor. This means that you will work with both health and medical care for the inmates, assist during doctor appointments, and administer medications primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation is done in the PMO patient data journal. The work is varied and challenging; you will work independently with your own assessments and be part of a larger context with other positions within Kriminalvården. Meeting people is as important as your clinical work.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Licensed nurse
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious:

• A relevant specialization or further education for the employer, such as in psychiatry, emergency care, or outpatient care
• Work experience in the profession
• Relevant language skills
• Driving license B
