Your Role

Aerospace Systems is looking for a driven Contract Manager with strategic purchasing responsibility, experienced in conducting negotiations in international environments and passionate about business. Saab Aerospace Systems is on a growth journey, which means we need to strengthen our team with an experienced and driven Contract Manager. You will play a key role where you will have the opportunity to work on unique, challenging, and interesting purchasing assignments at a growing company.

As a Contract Manager with us, you will be responsible for a number of suppliers where your experience and business acumen, along with your drive and structured approach, will be put to good use. You will lead and drive cross-functional supplier teams where you will evaluate, challenge, and ensure that suppliers develop in the right direction regarding cost, lead time, quality, and delivery precision.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating and ensuring compliance with supplier agreements in accordance with customer and business needs
  • Developing and implementing supplier and category strategies
  • Securing and working towards the department's common goals and KPIs
  • Developing relationships with new and existing suppliers

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in strategic purchasing, who is communicative and has excellent collaboration skills. We believe that you are innovative and solution-oriented and thrive in a role where you can work independently, as well as in a team, with many tasks at hand. You lead yourself and others towards results and goals with your knowledge and positive attitude!

Experience in project management is a merit, as it strengthens the ability to unify supplier teams and interface.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in economics or engineering from a university or equivalent academic education
  • At least five years of experience in strategic purchasing
  • Experience in independently leading and completing various types of supplier negotiations and drafting framework and pricing agreements
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
