Nurse for the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic

Description

At the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic, we receive patients who need specialized care.

We treat both acute and chronic conditions in infants as well as the elderly. Most of our patients come through referrals from primary care or other medical practices. At the clinic, examinations are performed for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, as well as minor surgeries in the ear, nose, and throat region. We have outpatient services in Skövde and Lidköping. In Skövde, we also have inpatient beds in departments 81–82.

Responsibilities

As a nurse at the clinic, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and in a team with doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. During the individually tailored orientation, you will gradually take responsibility for telephone advice, prioritizing the acute flow at the clinic, and assisting in examinations and minor surgeries.

You are expected to participate in the clinic's development and improvement work and have your own areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. If you have an interest or experience in the ear, nose, and throat specialty or have previously worked in a clinic, it is an advantage. We are a clinic with a high patient flow, and we are looking for someone who is attentive, responsible, and proactive. You find it easy to collaborate in a team but are also confident in working independently and have the flexibility to adapt to different situations. You build good relationships with both patients and colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.

The position involves work at our clinic in Skövde, and if needed, also in Lidköping. The position may also involve some work on the inpatient department, approximately 2–3 weekends during a twelve-week period, depending on the needs of the operation.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

In the event of recruitment of a nurse with foreign qualifications/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish qualifications/specialist certificates.
