As a school psychologist in Borås City, you will be part of a centrally organized student health team. You will be part of a staff group consisting of about nine other school psychologists. You are centrally located and have access to counseling rooms, testing rooms, and conference rooms. In addition to your immediate colleagues in the team, you will also have close collaboration with principals and educators at the schools you visit.

We are a student health service in development, striving to be at the forefront of health promotion and preventive work. Being part of a central organization also gives you the opportunity for close collaboration and exchange between professional boundaries. This contributes to clear strategic management regarding student health issues.

As a school psychologist, you are part of the student health team and participate in the promotional and preventive work towards educational goals. You participate and support schools in systematic student health work, work consultatively with educators and other professionals within the school, supervise staff, and if necessary, conduct investigations at the organizational, group, and individual levels. As a school psychologist, you always focus on the educational mission, and your work also includes conveying psychological knowledge to guardians and staff within the school.

You have access to regular internal supervision, organized professional networks, and the opportunity for support in your work through colleagues and the psychologically responsible psychologist (PLA).

We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist and if you have experience working with children/youth, we consider it an asset. You have an easy time collaborating, create good relationships, and have an inclusive approach. The work requires that you can work independently, plan and prioritize your work, but also largely collaborate with others. For the position, you also need to have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. A driver's license is required for the position as part of the work is located at several schools within Borås City.
