About us

The Pediatric and Youth Clinic and Day Care here in Nyköping is a pediatric medical unit for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years. Pediatric care is an inspiring form of care that is constantly evolving. We work with the vision "Sörmland's children, safe in our hands" and strive to have high competence among our staff while always focusing on the family's right to be involved in the care of their child.

Our unit consists of pediatric nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, play therapists, medical secretaries, and doctors. A dietitian, physiotherapist, and social worker are available part-time at the clinic.

Your tasks

As a nurse with us, you will perform pediatric nursing work. You will work closely with your colleagues, and there is always someone to ask. Together, we support each other through close and interdisciplinary collaboration, while you also get to take your own responsibility. In your work, you will rotate between the clinic, on-call services, day care, and the ward where night shifts may occur. Otherwise, the work involves day and evening shifts. This gives you the opportunity for both varied work and broad knowledge within pediatric care. Over time, you will also have the opportunity to specialize in one or more areas with your own specialist nurse clinics.

At the pediatric clinic, the work includes clinic duties, telephone advice via tele-Q, sample collection, and work in our on-call services. In day care, we work with our own clinic but also with the surgical, orthopedic, and ENT clinics. Children and adolescents come for various treatments, planned surgeries, and also emergency surgeries. Nurses and nursing assistants, like doctors, have specialist areas such as diabetes, allergies, neurology, etc.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Specialist training in health and medical care for children and adolescents is an advantage.

As a person, you are stable and secure in your professional role. You are responsible with the ability to independently structure your work and take your own initiatives, while also enjoying teamwork. In patient contact, you maintain a professional and flexible approach based on what the situation requires and have a holistic view of the individual. Personal qualities are highly valued.
