JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now seeking an engaged and strategic unit manager for our execution operations within green space maintenance on public land and municipal properties. Do you have a genuine interest in leadership and are passionate about providing the best service to our citizens? In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to work in a department that makes a difference for our residents.

The unit's task is to manage and develop beautiful, pleasant, and functional environments for people to enjoy. We perform this on behalf of the municipality's ordering organizations.

The position is located in the outdoor environment unit, construction department at the Technical and Property Management. Within the outdoor environment unit, you will work alongside a supervisor and 10-20 operational staff depending on the season.

In your role as unit manager, you will have overall responsibility for planning, operations, development, and follow-up of the activities, with a strong focus on quality, economy, and work environment. You have personnel and work environment responsibility and are responsible for the unit's economy and results.

Through personnel development, mechanization, digitization, and new working methods, you will lead the unit where you establish work routines, resource plan, and prioritize. You are responsible for the unit's administration and are the contact person for our clients.

As the outdoor environment unit manager, you will be part of the construction department's management team and are expected to contribute to the work of continuous improvement for the entire construction operation. Communication and corporate thinking are key principles for all business development. In the construction department, we have about 40 employees, and you will have colleagues within water and sewage, roads, machinery/vehicles, and storage operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience in leadership positions within execution organizations such as green spaces/gardening/construction. You have good IT skills and are proficient in office programs in a Windows environment.

As a person, you are structured and self-driven. You have the ability to contribute ideas and solutions. As a leader, you are confident and engaged, able to utilize the professional experience of your employees and motivate towards common goals. Collaboration is a guiding principle for you, as the work involves contacts both internally in the municipality and externally with suppliers and citizens.

A driver's license (B) is required.
