The logistics area includes warehousing, mortuary services, transport, and vehicles. We provide various transport solutions, including road freight, primarily with our own trucking company. Our truck and courier units transport various consumables, textiles, blood samples, mail, and more to different healthcare facilities in Region Skåne. The Transport and Vehicle area is responsible for purchasing vehicles for our fleet of over 800 vehicles and managing the Region's parking spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a unit manager, you are responsible for the overall operations, finances, and a team of approximately 20 employees. Part of your tasks includes continuously optimizing and developing transport operations and contributing to daily improvement work, as well as participating in larger improvement projects. You have an important role in providing the conditions for employees to become active in the work of improvements in everyday life. You will be part of the management team led by the area manager within Transport and Vehicles, where you are expected to collaborate across boundaries and actively contribute to the area's ongoing development work at a holistic level.
In your role as Region Skåne's regional safety advisor for the transport of hazardous goods by road, you are responsible for advising on compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines. You work cross-functionally with a systematic and structured approach to continuously disseminate knowledge through information initiatives, dialogue, and training to the operations. You analyze and identify areas for improvement related to the transport of hazardous goods by road, and through dialogue and planning with the operations, you create documentation, routines, reports, and decision-making materials. You may also participate in procurements, projects, and investigations related to the subject.
Your placement is at Stora Bernstorp in Arlöv, but since our operations are located in various places in Skåne, travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is driven, results-oriented, and works proactively. You have strong communication skills that make it easy for you to communicate with different target groups. Furthermore, you are a confident leader who shows trust and provides support to your employees while also challenging them to develop both the employees and the operations. You recognize both individual and group needs and performances and convey the goal of creating future transport solutions in an inspiring way. Through your coaching and present leadership, you motivate and engage employees, helping them find meaning and context in their work. To succeed in this role, it is important that you can easily understand complex transport solutions where safety is a major focus. Naturally, you are service-oriented, as our mission is to provide service to the core operations within Region Skåne. It is important to us that you share and embody Region Skåne's values: welcoming, driving, and caring and respectful. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
Regarding formal qualifications, you have a higher education/university degree or other training combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have experience as a manager, and if you also have leadership training, that is a plus. It is a prerequisite for the position that you are accustomed to leading change and have experience working with structured approaches, processes, and efficient administration. Additionally, it is advantageous if you have experience from the transport industry. Since the work requires both written and oral communication with various stakeholders, you need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement as travel within Skåne is included in the job.
