We are now looking for a Senior Payroll Integration Specialist with extensive experience in Workday and payroll integrations. In this hands-on role, you will hold a key position in designing, building, and managing robust integrations between Workday and external payroll systems in an international environment.

You will be part of a competent HR Tech team where technology, quality, and collaboration are at the center.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for outbound integrations from Workday to external payroll providers across multiple countries, systems, and formats. You will work closely with HRIS, payroll specialists, and external providers to ensure reliable, scalable, and audit-compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead for the integration track in payroll-related development projects

• Design, development, and troubleshooting of integrations with

  • Core Connector: Payroll

  • Workday Global Payroll Connect

  • EIBs and Workday Studio

• Collaboration with external payroll providers regarding requirements, testing, and troubleshooting

• Transformation of Workday data to provider-specific formats

• Documentation of data mappings, transformations, and integration flows

• End-to-end testing, including parallel runs and cutover validation

• Ensure handover to management with clear documentation

• Propose improvements for increased stability, transparency, and performance

Skills and experience

• At least 3 years of experience with Workday, of which at least 2 years with payroll integrations

• Deep knowledge of Core Connector: Payroll, Workday Global Payroll Connect, and file-based integrations

• Experience collaborating with external providers (e.g., ADP, SD Worx, Strada, or equivalent)

• Good understanding of payroll processes (gross/net, deductions, payroll calendars)

• Ability to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions

• Experience with secure transfer protocols (PGP, SFTP)

• Experience with global payroll integrations

• Workday certification in Integration and/or Payroll is a plus

• Preferred location: Solna or Linköping

• Other locations in Sweden may be accepted upon agreement
