System/Product Safety Consultant

We are looking for you at Combitech with experience in system/product safety for consulting assignments with our clients regarding the development/maintenance of military technical systems.

For thirty years, we have worked in various industries such as defense, authorities, and industry, with everything from underwater vehicles, surface ships, and combat aircraft to command, sensor, and weapon systems as well as wheeled/tracked vehicles. Our agreements with a number of large companies and authorities enable us to utilize our many years of accumulated knowledge and experience to contribute to the development of safe, reliable, and user-friendly systems for, among others, our Swedish defense, which is now developing and expanding rapidly.

Your Role as a Consultant

You have an important role in ensuring that system safety is considered in the development of military technical systems. You will work with cutting-edge technology, and together with clients and colleagues, you will participate in the planning and implementation of the system safety process to ensure that the established safety requirements are met. This includes, among other things, identifying, analyzing, and minimizing a technical system's risks through risk analyses to prevent potential accidents that could harm people, property, and the external environment.

The analyses encompass the entire lifecycle of the system, including its hardware, software, and interaction with users and external systems, and are conducted in close collaboration with designers, developers, and users. You will be involved in the process from the development of a system until it is approved for use.

Combitech has various competence development programs, sometimes in collaboration with clients, and offers a large number of courses where our own consultants are course leaders. Our unit has courses in system safety, so you also have the opportunity to be a course leader in one of these if you have a pedagogical interest.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in system/product safety. We believe your background is within the defense sector or as a university/civil engineer in a technical field. Experience with military technical systems as a user or technician is an advantage.

You are outgoing, driven, and have a sense of responsibility, which makes independent work and close customer collaboration something you enjoy. Your interest in technology and desire to work with many points of contact will make you thrive in the role of system safety consultant.

You communicate easily and find collaboration with colleagues important for your job satisfaction.

Many of our clients work in an international environment, so it is important that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Since the position involves work subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
