About the Position

As a project and program manager in IT security at Svenska kraftnät, you will play a leading role in establishing new IT security capabilities and their related technical solutions. The role ranges from leading smaller assignments and feasibility studies to managing larger projects and programs. These assignments/projects/programs are primarily of a technical nature with a focus on IT security but may also include process and/or organizational changes. You have overall responsibility for the project with a focus on results and quality.

The position involves:

Planning, driving, and delivering IT projects according to set goals
Managing budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up
Ensuring that projects are executed according to established methods
Communicating effectively with both technical teams and management

As an employee in the IT security department, it is important to stay updated regarding the current threat landscape, the latest technology, and relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the field. There are good opportunities to exchange experiences and knowledge both internally and with external partners in the industry and the public sector. As a Project and Program Manager for IT Security, you belong to the Governance IT Security unit within the IT security department at Division IT. The unit is responsible for developing governance, guidance, and driving improvements in IT security in the organization's processes and IT systems, aiming to develop capabilities to meet today's and tomorrow's threats.

As a project and program manager in IT security, you are a central person in the work to ensure and further develop a secure and stable IT environment, an IT environment that is critical for the electricity supply and ultimately for society to function.

The core mission of the IT Security department (IS) is to ensure Svenska kraftnät's ability to protect, detect, and defend against internal and external IT security threats. As a project manager in the Governance IT Security unit, IT division, you will be part of a team with both senior and junior colleagues. In this role, you will be an important part of IT and contribute to creating both strategic and operational conditions for Sweden's electricity supply.

About You

Furthermore, you have a degree in a relevant higher education in areas such as IT, engineering, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent.

You also have:

At least 5 years of current and relevant work experience in project management within IT.
Several years of experience leading complex projects from start to finish.
Good knowledge of ITIL, PM3, or similar governance models for IT operations.
Work experience in requirements specification and follow-up within IT and/or information security.
Good communication skills, and you express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of:

Working in the public sector or organizations with high demands on information and IT security.
Certifications in project management, e.g., PMP, IPMA, Prince2, Scrum, or equivalent.
Collaboration with external suppliers in complex delivery environments related to security issues.
Establishing or further developing management and operational environments within critical infrastructure.
Application of frameworks and standards in the IT and information security field, such as ISO27000, CIS Controls, or NIST Cyber Security Framework.
