Erikshjälpen is a child rights organization with a non-profit second-hand operation.

We work on around 100 projects in 16 countries and operate about 50 stores under Erikshjälpen Second Hand in Sweden, Norway, and online.

We work towards the vision of “A changed world where children's dreams come true.”

Our mission is to combat poverty and vulnerability by realizing children's rights worldwide.

Erikshjälpen, together with partners, is now seeking a team leader for the departments of Clothing, Shoes, Children & Sports for our store in Skövde. In Skövde, the store is operated in collaboration with the Pentecostal congregations in Skövde and Stöpen, Elim Church, and Erikshjälpen Second Hand.

Description

As a team leader, you are operational and lead and participate in the daily work in the store to achieve established surplus goals, social goals, and environmental goals.

Responsibilities

Examples of responsibilities:

  • Your focus area in the store is to lead the work in our departments for clothing, children, shoes, and sports; other departments may be assigned after the position is filled.
  • You lead and participate in the daily work in the store together with the store management and the store's employees.
  • You act as a team leader for employees, volunteers, and individuals undergoing work trials, activities, or other employment through authorities.
  • You share responsibility with the store management for the sale of goods.
  • Jointly responsible for the store during opening hours, will also have store responsibility for certain Saturdays during the year.
  • You introduce, coach, and develop individuals through labor market initiatives.
  • Together with the store management, you develop the operations.
  • In close collaboration with the operations manager, you plan, process, and develop the store and its working methods.
  • You contribute to and create joy at work in the store.
  • You report to the operations manager.

Qualifications

You have:

  • relevant work experience in leadership.
  • good social skills and experience in customer interactions.
  • a passionate interest in aid and second-hand work.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • experience and/or knowledge of valuing second-hand goods.
  • documented experience from retail operations.
  • experience in the fashion industry.
  • experience in voluntary work and leading volunteers.

Conditions:

Employment type: Permanent position, with a six-month probationary period.
