to apply for the job

Working at MAVA/MOA is very stimulating as we work with various disease groups.

No day is the same as both the pace of work and tasks vary. As a new nurse, I started working at MAVA, but the goal was also to work at MOA where the most severely ill patients at the Hospital in Motala (LiM) are cared for. The department organizes a lot of training, which has allowed me to acquire the competence required to work at MOA. Our daily work is team-based, which has provided great security. We work according to a wish schedule, which means I can request my working days 10–12 weeks in advance.

Welcome to a unit with a strong sense of community! Here, good communication and a positive attitude are a given.

Our Offer

At MAVA/MOA, you will meet patients with very varied medical conditions, but the most common are infections and various types of lung diseases. At MOA, we care for the most severely ill, such as those with respiratory failure, sepsis, circulatory failure, severe electrolyte disturbances, ketoacidosis, seizures, and more. As a newcomer to the department, you always start by working at MAVA to eventually also work at MOA if you wish. As a new employee, you are offered an individually tailored orientation period depending on your previous experience. The orientation period can vary between 1-3 months, and during this time, you have your own mentor who regularly checks in to provide you with the conditions you need for a safe and good start at your new workplace.

We care about ensuring that your working hours are balanced with the rest of your life, and therefore you have great opportunities to influence your schedule. We also offer the possibility to work according to the 90/10 work model, which means a weekly working time of 34 hours and 25 minutes instead of 38 hours and 15 minutes. This gives you four extra hours for leisure interests and recovery each week.

Job Description

We work in teams together with the patient. As a nurse, your work is varied and also involves some medical technical equipment since our patients often require monitoring. Your responsibilities include everything from nursing, medication administration to the use of various types of medical technical equipment such as optiflow and bilevel.
