This is fundamentally a staff position with no personnel responsibility, but you will have an Operations Leader responsibility during certain scheduled shifts where you are expected to lead and distribute the daily operations at Food. This can be the first step on your leadership journey, and we want you to have the ambition to apply for IKEA's leadership program iLead and to want to develop as a manager/leader within IKEA in the future.

At IKEA Stockholm Gallerian, it is full speed every day, and no day is the same. We have about 38 employees in the Food function who take care of our hungry guests in the best way possible. In our Swedish Deli, we serve something for everyone - breakfast, fika, lunch, and dinner.

As an Operations Leader, you will be responsible for the staffing of the day and are expected to lead and distribute the daily operations at Food. As part of the Operations Leader team, you will start up and plan the day, solve unforeseen problems, ensure that we work according to our routines and methods, and more. In this position, you will meet an incredible number of people, and you will be the spider in the web of our function. You will have close collaboration with the managers at Food, and you will work on providing feedback to your colleagues. This role requires you to be responsible and flexible, as you will have freedom under responsibility.

When you are not responsible as an Operations Leader, you will work with your wonderful colleagues in all areas of our restaurant operations. This includes preparing both hot and cold food, cash handling, dishwashing, and serving. We always keep our surroundings clean and tidy, both in our production areas and customer areas, as food safety is always a top priority. Customer service is also incredibly important to us, and we want our guests to have the best possible experience.

About this job area

The positions as Operations Leaders at Food are permanent positions of 32 hours/week (80%) with a start date in January/February or as agreed. We apply a 6-month probationary period for new hires. The shifts are scheduled on weekdays and every other weekend. You will work during the day and approximately 2 evenings a week (earliest start time 08:30 and latest end time 20:30).

We offer a fixed monthly salary according to agreement, along with a responsibility supplement. In addition to your monthly salary, you will also receive OB compensation, and the OB compensation we offer is one of the best in the restaurant industry. For example, if you work on Saturdays after 12:00, all Sundays, and public holidays, you will receive 100% OB compensation.
