The Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we have nearly 280 employees. Our outpatient and day care is located in Södermalm and our inpatient care at Danderyd Hospital.

Responsibilities:

As a chef, you will prepare meals from scratch using climate-friendly ingredients as well as nutritious and individualized meals. We prepare approximately 100 nutritionally calculated lunch portions daily and serve breakfast, snacks, and light meals. The chef is responsible for developing and evaluating the menu in collaboration with a dietitian. We are looking for an engaged, proactive, and independent employee who thinks innovatively and wants to help drive the operations forward. Together with the unit manager for operational support, you will work with quality and budget monitoring. You are responsible for making orders based on agreements and environmental goals. You will continuously follow up, update, and ensure compliance with the routines of the self-monitoring program. The role also involves performing other tasks commonly found in a kitchen.

Qualifications:

Culinary education and at least 5 years of experience as a chef. Extensive knowledge of special diets. Nutrition education and knowledge of the patient group is an advantage.

Personal qualities:

You have good communication skills. You are a team player and find it easy to collaborate, but you also have the ability to work independently and in a structured manner, even in stressful situations. You have a strong interest in economics and the environment.

Employment form:

Permanent. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Kitchen hours are 07:30-16:00. A probationary period may apply.

  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
