Fika & Wine is a Swedish brasserie concept that combines traditional Swedish cuisine, coffee culture, Swedish beverage traditions, and a historical environment into a modern and warm whole. We are a small family business that values comfort, security, and joy at work – for both our guests and our staff. With us, you should feel seen, welcomed, and appreciated.

The restaurant is located in the historic 16th-century vaults of Gamla Stan and is inspired by Swedish design tradition with colors, shapes, and materials from Carl Larsson, Sundborn, and classic craftsmanship. The environment is warm, personal, and timeless, featuring a large inviting bar and a rustic wine vault where we host groups and events.

Food & Drink with us

We prepare traditional Swedish cuisine with care – classics like meatballs, raggmunk, Wallenbergare, herring, soups, and desserts. Our menus are seasonal and based on Swedish ingredients.

The beverage profile has a strong Swedish foundation, with a particular focus on our collaboration with Åhus Vingård. We also work with European quality wines, Swedish beers, ciders, and a thoughtfully curated non-alcoholic selection. Our signature package “Swedish Evening” is a popular overall experience for evening guests and groups.

Environment & Guest Interaction

Our interior reflects Swedish cultural history through wood types, textiles, classic patterns, and a soft color palette. The outdoor seating is Scandinavian and harmonizes with the environment of Gamla Stan.

What role are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who wants to work in front of house and enjoys meeting guests in various parts of the operation. The role is broad and developing – you will work both as a server, café assistant, and, if needed, as a head waiter.

This means that you:

• Take care of our guests with warmth and professionalism
• Serve food and drinks, handle cash, and maintain order in the dining room and café
• Prepare and present coffee, pastries, and beverages
• Guide guests through our menu and our Swedish beverage selection
• Support the service flow during lunch, evenings, and events
• Can take on a larger responsibility shift as head waiter if needed (bookings, table planning, guest interaction)

We are looking for a person who is social, confident, structured, and enjoys creating a positive experience for both guests and colleagues.

If you have experience from cafés, restaurants, or hotels – or have worked in a role where service is central – it is a significant advantage.
