We are now looking for a cook with a great interest in cooking to our three campgrounds in Värmland who wants to further develop together with us. It is advantageous if you have training in cooking, but it is not a requirement as we primarily value your interest in cooking, relevant work experience, and that you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment in close collaboration with your colleagues. We believe that you are a natural leader in the kitchen and dining room, used to taking initiative and working in a structured manner, and thrive in an environment where children and young people make up the majority of our guests.

Working at camp means that during the summer you will live at your workplace, at the campground in Värmland. You share accommodation with your colleagues during your work time, about 5-6 people per room. The job requires that you can imagine being away from home for at least 6 weeks during the summer.

About the company

Utepedagogik Sverige AB conducts camp activities at several campgrounds for children and young people aged 9-16 years with a focus on adventure, and our activities are focused on outdoor pedagogical work. The cornerstones of Utepedagogik Sverige AB's pedagogical camp activities are: safety, quality, security, and community, as well as trained adults with a broad competence serving as good role models. Job responsibilities

As a cook at camp, your main task is to deliver meals to camp participants and camp leaders, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including vegetarian and special diets. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in a large kitchen and are used to planning meals, but we primarily value an interest in cooking and the willingness to develop the operation together with your colleagues.

The kitchen at camp is the heart of our operation, and as an employee in the kitchen, your tasks will vary between cooking, serving, and dishwashing. Together with a team of 6-7 people, you will be responsible for delivering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our shared dining room to camp participants and camp leaders at our three campgrounds. Additionally, you will also receive deliveries, ensure that the campgrounds have snacks and evening meals, and prepare food for hikes/outings.

The work is done under the guidance of a kitchen manager. You should also adhere to the requirements for quality and hygiene and be able to meet camp participants in a pedagogical and inspiring way, as we want participants to discover the different aspects of cooking and possibly awaken understanding and a future interest.

Experience

· Experience in large kitchens or equivalent

Employment conditions

The position is a full-time job. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the campground in Värmland from May 9th to May 12th, and June 8th to June 12th. During the summer, you need to be able to work, and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 13th to August 18th.
