Restaurant Assistant at Mariatorget Meeting Place

We are looking for a restaurant assistant for our meeting place Mariatorget!

In the role of restaurant assistant, you will be responsible for the dining experience at Mariatorget Meeting Place and be the face of our guests. You will be responsible for the visual presentation, offerings, and flow according to established routines and guidelines. You are the extended arm between the kitchen, guests, and service. As a person, you should be able to meet and engage with different people both within and outside societal norms.

Responsibilities

  • Be service-oriented and the face of the organization
  • Ensure that the service flow runs smoothly
  • Follow established routines and guidelines
  • Adhere to the Food Agency's guidelines and recommendations regarding environmental health
  • Ensure that everything sold over the counter is fresh, neat, and well-presented
  • Have a strong initiative and act independently
  • Supervise volunteers, interns, and community service workers in service, conference rooms, and dining areas
  • Maintain good communication and close collaboration with the lead chef responsible for the operational flow and distributes work based on needs.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in restaurants, cafes, or similar businesses
  • Previous experience in service-oriented jobs within relevant industries
  • Good knowledge of food handling and hygiene. You have completed training with certification in food handling.
  • Completed high school education

To succeed in this role, you are service-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in flexibility where no day is the same. You have the ability to make quick decisions when needed and carry them out independently or in a group. Furthermore, you are good at following instructions and are interested in contributing to the team at Mariatorget Meeting Place. The position is 80% and includes weekend and evening work. Stockholm City Mission applies a 6-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible by agreement. The position is located at Mariatorget Meeting Place.
