Are you an experienced demi sous chef or à la carte cook who is tired of working every evening and weekend? Would you like a full-time position and still have every other week off? Are you longing for an experience beyond the ordinary? Then you have come to the right place!

Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new entertainment cruise ship offering recreation and experiences for everyday escapees. The ship is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, founded in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland will offer cruises and regular trips between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting in spring 2024.

Our kitchen – a team of about 40 people per cruise – is now looking for new colleagues. We are looking for you who are an experienced demi sous chef or à la carte cook and have:

• Relevant education
• Several years of cooking experience - both traditional and à la carte
• Good knowledge of Swedish seasoning and various cooking methods

Regardless of the role, you are stress-resistant, have an easy time collaborating, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy having people around you and see the advantage of working intensively for a period to then be off for the same length of time.

All roles also include safety tasks, and a number of digital courses need to be completed before employment.
