We are now looking for someone with documented experience in leadership and budget responsibility who wants to take the next step in their career. You will be the right hand of the restaurant manager with shared responsibility for operations and the opportunity to develop towards running your own restaurant in the future.

As an assistant restaurant manager at MAX, you are a key person in the operation. You ensure that the restaurant operations run smoothly, guarantee good results and a positive work environment, and ensure that guests receive a world-class service experience. You are a role model in your leadership and, of course, you lead the way for your colleagues when the pace is high. You also ensure that all employees understand what is expected in their service work.

In this role, you will have completed the training in our leadership program MAX Leadership Academy, a solid introduction to MAX operations with both practical and theoretical components. There are also excellent internal development opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the restaurant manager with recruitment, training, and development of employees.
• Be well-informed about personnel status, scheduling, budget, operational responsibility, and workplace safety issues.
• Recruitment, personnel, and workplace safety responsibility.
• Drive food safety issues and implement measures according to central guidelines.
• Set, implement, and follow up on high goals together with the restaurant manager. Set budget and forecasts for sales and worked hours.
• Monitor and control goods, inventory, purchases, handling, and waste on a daily basis.
• Plan, design, and execute tasks to achieve goals and align with strategies and guidelines in a productive and efficient manner.
• Coach, motivate, and develop your employees to create a winning team that exceeds guests' expectations.

Practical Information and Next Steps

You live within an hour's travel from the restaurant to understand the local area and be able to be on-site quickly when needed. Travel within the local area and across the country may occur. In this role, you will work varying hours including days, evenings, and weekends. Salary according to collective agreement.

Candidates who proceed in the process will be contacted continuously, and those who move forward will undergo psychometric tests (personality and logic tests). We conduct background checks as part of the recruitment process, as the role of Assistant Restaurant Manager involves responsibility for both underage employees and budget and finance.
