Lycksele Hospital is now looking for an engaged orthopedic surgeon who wants to help develop our operations and contribute to high-quality hospital care in rural areas. RESPONSIBILITIES

We have operations in both outpatient and inpatient care for orthopedic patients. We perform elective routine surgeries for hands, feet, and knees, as well as prosthetic surgery for hips and knees. Emergency orthopedic surgery is part of our daily routine. In the outpatient clinic, the orthopedic team sees a wide range of unsorted general orthopedics and some hand surgery.

As an orthopedic surgeon, you will be part of our medical team with a varied workload and the opportunity for subspecialization in an orthopedic area.

On-call and standby duties are included in the employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist training in orthopedics. Experience in elective hip prosthetic surgery is required. Additionally, competence in knee prosthetic surgery is an advantage.

Knowledge and experience in basic foot surgery and/or hand surgery are also advantageous. It is necessary to be able to manage acute orthopedics, including surgical intervention for the most common fractures.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and other languages are considered an asset. We value a strong interest in teamwork and a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment. Personal suitability is also of great importance.
