JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an anesthesia nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment. You are responsible for the patient's safety, care, and nursing before and during the operation within your specialty area in a technology-intensive environment. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize are important qualities. You work independently in close collaboration with the Anesthesiologist while being part of an operating team. Since Skellefteå Hospital is a teaching hospital, supervision of students is also included.

The work as an anesthesia nurse is varied, challenging, and we are at the forefront of technology. You will have the opportunity to try working as an anesthesia nurse under supervision before further education. You will also have the opportunity to gain insight into our closest collaborating units such as ICU, post-op, and the children's clinic. You create a good foundation for your studies, and we have a mutual agreement about working in the unit after completing your education. The trainee period is 4-6 weeks, during which you are loaned from your regular workplace. After completing the trainee period and until the university education starts, you will return to your regular workplace in the region. If you are employed by another employer, we will adapt the employment to your circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with curiosity and interest in anesthesia care. You have formal eligibility to apply for further education towards a specialist nurse. We would like you to have experience in hospital nursing. You also have at least 1 year of professional experience as a nurse.

As a person, we see that you are responsible. You have a good ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team and contribute to the whole.
