We are now seeking an experienced EHS Manager for our Global Supply Chain division in Sweden who wants to drive and develop our work in occupational health, safety, and environment. The role is central to ensuring that our processes and procedures meet legal requirements, internal guidelines, and industry standards. You will work closely with management and regional EHS resources and be a key person in creating a safety culture that permeates the entire organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess and manage strategic risks related to health, safety, and environment.
• Collaborate with regional EHS resources.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and manage operating permits.
• Develop best practices and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Act as a contact person for regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
• Design and maintain emergency action plans.
• Manage environmental risks related to energy, water, air, and waste.
• Be responsible for safety committees and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
• Plan and conduct EHS training.
• Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions.

The position is a permanent role based in one of our locations. Currently, the role has no personnel responsibility, but this may change. You will be part of Sweden's management team for Global Supply Chain and report to Area Director Operations, Toni Cuddemi. There is an opportunity for flexible working hours, but it is expected to be on-site every day of the week.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant field; environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial economics with a focus on occupational health and safety.
• 8+ years of work-related experience in safety, health, and environment.
• Experience in personnel responsibility.
• Deep understanding of ISO 9001 or other relevant standards.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations in health, safety, and environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience leading audits and implementing improvement programs.
• Very good ability to communicate and write in English.
• Experience working in a complex matrix organization with multiple stakeholders is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
