In the Health and Medical Care Organization (HSV) of the Elderly and Health Administration, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation assistants work in ten health and medical care teams. Seven of the teams are divided into geographical teams, while the other three are linked to short-term care, evening/night shifts, and the internal staffing pool of nurses. In total, we are 300 dedicated employees who together develop the future of municipal health and medical care!

We are now looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, have several years of experience in the role, and want to work with us in HSV team 4 (Brämhult). Just like our nurses, you will work in the patient's own home, either in regular housing or in a care and nursing home. In addition to your close collaboration with nurses and care staff, you will also collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and unit managers in our various operations.

As a nursing assistant within our health and medical care services, you are a stable and competent support for the nurses in the organization, contributing to ensuring that good and safe care can be provided to all our patients.

Your main task will be to support our nurses, and you will perform various health and medical care tasks by delegation, e.g., taking samples, wound dressings, etc. You will care for patients with different care needs and diagnoses. You will carry out, evaluate, and document the medical interventions in our journal systems. Other tasks beyond those related to the nursing assistant role may also be relevant.

You will independently plan and structure your work; no day is the same, and thinking outside the box and prioritizing is an exciting and varied part of the job. You are a trained nursing assistant with many years of experience in the role. You are an engaged, attentive, and flexible person who is genuinely interested in working with people. Your professional approach and good communication create safety and trust towards everyone you meet in your daily work.

Since you will perform various and sometimes advanced tasks by delegation, you need to be meticulous, responsible, and interested in continuously learning new things. If one of your patients requires care that you do not have delegation for, it is a given for you to be proactive in obtaining the new delegation as soon as possible.

You possess good collaboration skills and the ability to independently drive your own work. You also have the ability to communicate clearly and simply in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, in a respectful and pedagogical manner.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Before an employment offer, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal record.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to hold the title of nursing assistant.
