Do you want to help shape a platform that assists other teams?
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us – whether you are at the beginning of your career or have several years of experience.
About the team and the position
You will be part of a small but growing team responsible for the operation and further development of our observability platform. The team belongs to the Developer Platform group within the Platform Services department at Sveriges Radio's IT unit.
The observability platform is built on Kubernetes, and we use systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Mimir. We work user-centered and develop tools that make a difference for our users. Our user group is a mix of senior developers, system technicians, and operations staff, all of whom have different conditions but the same basic need to understand if errors occur and how our systems are performing.
We work according to agile principles and goal management, using formats such as weekly planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Examples of tasks:
- Develop, operate, and improve our observability platform
- Automate and streamline infrastructure, CI/CD flows, and monitoring
- Troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with colleagues to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Design and implement new features in the observability platform.
- Develop and create standardized dashboards to help developers, system technicians, and operations gain insight into our technical systems
- Collaborate with both product-related and infrastructure teams to understand needs and improve the platform.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Observability: Practical experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, or similar.
- Kubernetes: Experience in building, operating, and troubleshooting services in Kubernetes environments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or equivalent tools.
- CI/CD: Experience in setting up pipelines and automating deployment flows.
- Container technology: Experience with Docker and container-based development.
- Cloud platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Meritorious
- Experience building internal platform services or developer enablement/experience.
- Knowledge of security in cloud environments (IAM, secrets management, RBAC).
- Experience handling and packaging large amounts of log and metrics data.
- Contributions to open source projects within observability or cloud-native.
As a person, we are looking for someone who is curious about new technologies and wants to improve development and operational processes. Analytical, structured, and used to working independently. Enjoys collaboration and communicates clearly with both developers and operations teams. Has an interest in building solutions that make it easier for others to understand and measure systems.
You have a platform and product perspective – and think about the user experience. You are curious and enjoy experimenting with new technology and thrive in a team where knowledge is shared and built together.
What we offer
- An inclusive team where you can be yourself.
- The opportunity to influence both technology choices and working methods.
- Support in your development – regardless of where you are in your career.
- A mission with a clear purpose: to create a robust and user-friendly observability platform.
- Be part of a pleasant work team where we continuously share experiences and knowledge with each other.
Employment conditions
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a 6-month probation period.
Our group is partially distributed across the country, and collaboration occurs daily via Teams. However, we prefer that for this position, you are based in Stockholm, but there may be flexibility in dialogue as long as you can be tied to one of our 25 radio houses in the country and can be present a few days a week. We believe in the power of meeting together, which is why travel to Stockholm in this case will be relevant at least 4 times a year.
Application and contact information
The deadline for applications is January 12, 2026. Do not hesitate to apply now as we review applications continuously.
