Job Responsibilities

The manufacturing at Åkers Sweden AB is divided into five production areas. We are seeking a production leader for the completion within the mechanical workshop. You will report directly to the production manager. The personnel responsibility includes approximately 35 employees who work shifts.

As a production leader, you are responsible for the daily management of production, ensuring that production processes are stable and overseeing development work in the area. You are expected to lead, coach, and develop the staff to achieve set goals in safety, environment, quality, productivity, and engagement.

Your role includes, among other things:

- Full personnel responsibility, which includes ensuring that staff competencies are at the right level and driving competency development. You conduct development conversations and are active in rehabilitation work as well as other workplace environment issues. Develop and lead subordinate staff so that they have training for the tasks they are assigned and that they have clear responsibilities and authorities to perform and solve their tasks effectively.

- Ensure that the technology and working methods used provide high quality and productivity.

- Communicate clear, understandable goals and key figures so that everyone in the unit is aware of, can influence, and feels involved with them.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in both people and technology. You have documented leadership skills and are unpretentious. If you have experience from a similar business, an academic degree, or a technical educational background, it is an advantage but not a requirement. What matters is your contribution to leadership, engagement, understanding of the production process, and ability to develop staff and processes towards set goals.

Your language skills are good both verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
