JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a support educator for one of our group homes with 6 residents. Here, you will play a central role in the pedagogical work with the opportunity to make a real difference in everyday life. In the role of support educator, you will work closely with the care recipients and together with colleagues in the work group. You have an important role in enhancing the quality of the pedagogical work and contributing to a service with a strong user focus. You are the sole person in your role at the workplace but work within a larger group of colleagues. In addition, you have support from a unit manager and a development leader.

Your tasks include, among others:

• supporting and developing individuals with disabilities based on individual needs
• providing daily support and care services and participating in activities
• working systematically with implementation plans and social documentation according to applicable legislation and guidelines
• providing pedagogical guidance to the work group and mentoring colleagues in communication methods, clear pedagogical approaches, and low-arousal responses
• introducing new staff and being a good role model in the pedagogical work
• implementing new pedagogical methods in the work group
• driving and promoting pedagogical development work in workplace meetings
• contributing to ensuring that care recipients live a meaningful and as independent life as possible

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• education as a support educator (200 YH) or other relevant post-secondary education
• work experience in LSS operations
• good computer skills and documentation experience
• the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• good physical ability, as care recipients may have different needs for support and assistance in daily life
• driver's license (B) (requirement)

Knowledge or experience in sign language communication, clear pedagogical approaches, and low-arousal responses is an advantage.
