We are looking for assistants for a newly started assistance service for a man with ALS living in Täby.

We are seeking a pleasant person who wants to work with a client who has ALS. We are looking for someone who can work days, evenings, weekends, and awake nights. A schedule will be created gradually as the client and assistant feel comfortable with each other.

Since the group will be new, introductions will take place continuously. Currently, a cough machine, inhaler, breathing machine, and other necessary aids are used in daily life. The client communicates using a speech device, so it is essential that you are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who is open, flexible, has their own drive, can take initiative, and notice small details to avoid the client having to repeat themselves. You should have previous experience working as a personal assistant. It is certainly an advantage if you have experience with ALS, but it is not a requirement. The client prefers female assistants. Non-smokers only.

Tasks include, among others:

• Dressing and undressing
• Personal hygiene
• Toileting
• Medication
• Available aids
• Tube feeding and PEG
• Accompaniment
