Assistant Nurse with Advanced Competence
Are you an experienced assistant nurse with an interest in quality development and mentoring? We are now looking for you with good knowledge and experience in elderly care who wants to take extra responsibility for mentoring, quality, and introduction in our operations. Here you will have a central role in contributing to good care and support through a person-centered approach, where each citizen's needs and wishes are in focus. By working closely with both colleagues and management, you create security, participation, and development – for both citizens and your colleagues.
Ängegården is a pleasant special accommodation located in central Brunflo. Here there are six departments with a total of 50 places for permanent residents and eight places for short-term stays. Each department has common areas for meals, activities, and social interaction. In close proximity to the departments, there are shared balconies, and in the courtyard, we have a pleasant outdoor area. In the same building, there are also a dentist, health center, and pharmacy. With us, there are good conditions for collegial support as you will become part of an engaged work team where we collaborate and have a good community.
We are now looking for three assistant nurses with advanced competence. The positions are 100%, and the working hours are scheduled for daytime, weekdays, where part of the working time consists of mentoring and the rest of the time being part of the regular work team. You will be placed in the unit where you are employed, but if necessary, your placement may be moved. A probationary period may apply.
Your New Job
As an assistant nurse with advanced competence, you are an important part of developing both care and your colleagues. You work closely with the unit manager, coordinator, and various representatives and have a key role in supporting and guiding staff in their daily work. This includes mentoring colleagues in basic care, rehabilitative approaches, and documentation, as well as ensuring that routines are followed. You participate in case meetings, disseminate information within the organization, and support representatives in roles such as meal, activity, language, and documentation representatives.
Another important part is that you are responsible for the introduction of new employees and for welcoming new citizens, where you help create a comprehensive view of needs and initiate implementation plans. The role combines practical work with responsibility for mentoring, quality, and development, making it both varied and significant.
Your Competence
Requirements
- Qualified assistant nurse
- At least 3 years of work experience as an assistant nurse in municipal elderly care
- Good knowledge of geriatric diseases and care
- Good knowledge of mentoring
- Good knowledge of the municipality's routines and guidelines
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good computer skills
Meritorious
- Experience working in the operational system Viva
- Mentoring training
- Further education in the field

We are looking for someone with very good knowledge in all areas of assistant nursing, as you are expected to be a knowledge resource for your colleagues. You are loyal to the organization and act in accordance with decisions made, guidelines, the operational plan, set goals, and policies. In the role, you are meticulous and well aware of the organization's goals and quality standards and are happy to take your own initiatives within the framework of the assignment.
As a mentor, you have a pedagogical talent where you adapt your way of communicating to the person you are training. Your communication is clear, and you are careful to ensure that the recipient has understood what you want to convey. You remind and follow up to ensure good quality in the care work. The role requires good collaboration skills where you relate to people in a responsive and smooth manner.
