The ambulance service assesses and treats patients at home, at the scene of accidents, and during transport to hospitals, and is also responsible for transports requiring special medical care. The Västerbotten ambulance service performs around 33,000 missions in the region. In Åsele, we have our emergency vehicle that works with acute care in collaboration with Åsele municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

The nurse in ambulance services meets patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness, injury, or who need care during transport. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of accidents, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The job is about making a difference for others and showing humility while maintaining calm in demanding situations. In the ambulance, you work in a team, and our nurses have the medical responsibility. You and your colleague also have the ultimate responsibility to ensure that the ambulance has the correct equipment at the beginning of each shift and throughout the shift, so you can perform your duties in a patient-safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you are specialized in ambulance care or have another specialization that we consider valuable for the operation. Experience in emergency care is also meritorious.

You have a B driver's license and good driving experience. You master Swedish in both speech and writing.

Work in ambulance services can be physically demanding, so we require physical endurance.

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a fitness test and driving test.
