Interventional Nurse for the Vascular Surgery Section

The main goal and task of the Surgical Center Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, which are conducted in both outpatient and inpatient care.

The Vascular Surgery Section is responsible for all vascular surgical care within Region Västerbotten and for the highly specialized vascular surgery within the Northern Healthcare Region. The unit investigates and treats patients with diseases of the carotid arteries, the aorta, vessels to abdominal organs, peripheral vessels (extremities), and certain venous diseases.

Our endovascular operations have developed strongly in recent years, and we are now looking for a nurse with interventional experience to join our team. Currently, our endovascular team consists of vascular surgeons, a radiology nurse, and surgical planners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an interventional nurse with us, you will contribute your unique knowledge and commitment to the establishment and development of the endovascular operations. Your role is significant, and your work requires both teamwork and independence.

The responsibilities include active participation in the endovascular procedures performed at the unit, as well as managing our radiology equipment and materials, and contributing to the development and education of the endovascular method. Working hours are during the day, but on-call duties may be included by agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, you need to be a licensed nurse or radiology nurse, with experience in vascular intervention being an advantage. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We are looking for someone who is engaged, positive, curious, quality-oriented, and self-driven. Both the tasks and the pace of work vary with us, so you should enjoy variety and be able to adapt based on what the situation and person require.
