Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results. As an employee of Region Västerbotten and Southern Lapland, you will have a job that challenges you and gives meaning to your everyday life. Here, you will be able to make a difference for others.

The Psychiatric Clinic Southern Lapland is an outpatient clinic covering all diagnostic groups. Inpatient beds are available in Skellefteå and Umeå. Our team consists of about 45 employees, most of whom are based at Lycksele Hospital, with additional staff at other locations in Southern Lapland. At the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and often use digital communication tools.

You will meet patients in various life situations and have time to get to know them. The often varied tasks will provide you with a broad competence. Although we have long distances between our operations, this does not prevent us from having close collaborations with short decision-making paths. We support each other and care about one another.

There is a responsiveness to each individual employee's engagement and motivations. We value the importance of working both independently and collaboratively. This way, you will have the opportunity to grow in your role.

Here, we are always developing forward, and there are good opportunities to shape your own role and work identity based on evidence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure.

With us, you work both independently and as part of a multiprofessional team. As a nurse, your responsibilities include functioning as a reception nurse at certain times, which includes telephone counseling. You are responsible for medication management, follow-up of pharmacological treatment, sampling, and conversations based on the patient's needs. You assist with somatic knowledge and contribute a holistic perspective on the medical, somatic, social, and psychiatric areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a licensed nurse with an interest in psychiatry. If you are a specialist nurse in psychiatry or have previously worked in psychiatric outpatient and/or inpatient care, it is an advantage. You should have a good command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms.

Collaboration skills and flexibility are valuable traits, as well as an interest in development work. You have good communication skills and an empathetic approach.
