Job Advertisement: Nurse at Geriatric Center

The Geriatric Center is a specialist clinic for patients in need of both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the older patient's medical, physical, psychological, and social functional capacity in illness is performed by interprofessional teams. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are conducted in inpatient and outpatient care with the patient's individual needs in focus.

The general geriatrics, department 1, has 20 care places focusing on subacute general geriatric care and rehabilitation, as well as a so-called fast track for taking over patients from MAVA and the infection clinic.

We are very proud to run a student teaching department (SUA) where nursing and assistant nursing students independently care for patients under supervision. We welcome diversity, and in 2016 the department was awarded an LGBTQ diploma.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

In the role of nurse, you will have nursing responsibility and nursing work together with nursing assistants, medical actions based on the patient's condition and prescription, as well as contacts with other professionals in the care team, other care providers, and the patient's relatives.

You will work day/evening/weekend according to a 3-3 work schedule, which provides increased opportunities for recovery.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training for nurses in elderly care.

To be the one we are looking for, we see that you have good collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate with both patients and colleagues. It is important that you feel comfortable handling administrative tasks. Experience in teamwork and geriatric care is an advantage.
