About the Position
In the role of project manager, you will be responsible for investment projects for high voltage lines. You will represent Svenska kraftnät as the client and be responsible for the projects' time, cost, and results. The role may encompass both planning/design phase and construction phase. This role is suitable for you who enjoy leading large project teams in complex infrastructure projects. You thrive in a role where you are expected to make decisions and drive the work forward together with other project members and consultants.
In this advertisement, we are looking for a project manager for one of our marine international connections, which includes overall responsibility for both station, land, and submarine cable projects. Our international marine connection projects are conducted jointly with a mirrored organization at the connecting party. To succeed in this role, you need to be a team player with a very good ability to collaborate internally as well as with external organizations.
As a project manager, you will enter at an early stage where you build the project organization. You will be responsible for several projects and have project managers reporting to you. You lead and coach the project managers to ensure that the projects achieve their goals and report to the program manager. Within Svenska kraftnät, we have a common working method where everyone is involved in the development of the business and where you as an employee are encouraged to contribute to the improvement and development of routines and processes.
You will belong to the Cable Project Management unit, which is part of the Line Projects department, represented at Svenska kraftnät's headquarters in Sundbyberg and various local offices in Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Sollefteå, Luleå, and Västerås. The unit consists of eight competent and driven project managers characterized by a culture of prestige-free knowledge exchange and collaboration, where both people and projects should have the opportunity to develop.
About You
In the role of project manager, we expect you to work goal- and result-oriented in your projects while effectively collaborating well with both internal and external parties. A structured working method will be required where you need to feel confident in the decisions you make.

Required Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education or equivalent competence acquired in another way that the authority assesses as equivalent. For example, a focus on civil engineering, infrastructure, or electrical power.
- At least seven years of experience in project management of large projects within energy, infrastructure, construction, or equivalent with budget and work environment responsibility.
- Several years of work experience in construction law and standard contracts in the construction industry (e.g., ABT, AB).
- Several years of work experience in procurement and good negotiation skills.
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Driving license (B).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AMA and similar industry standards.
- Experience in procurement under FIDIC contracts.
- Experience in project management within or towards the public sector.
- Experience in the marine and/or offshore industry, e.g., wind power, oil, and gas.
- Experience in land and/or submarine cable projects.
- Experience in permitting processes.
- Experience in HVDC technology.
- Project management certification within PMI/IPMA.
- Experience leading international project teams.
Good to Know
- The position is located in Sundbyberg or at one of our local offices in Sundsvall, Västerås, or Gothenburg.
- Possibility of remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid.
- Travel within Sweden and internationally may occur.
