Kultur och Kvalitet is looking for a project manager 75-95% (temporary)

Kultur och Kvalitet is seeking a temporary project manager for the Building Activity project, funded by the General Inheritance Fund.

We are now looking for a temporary project manager for the Building Activity project. The purpose of the project is to develop a method to include adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) as active co-creators in participant-based public design, urban development, and urban planning. The work in the project will partly take place together with participants with ID/NPD.

The method development work will take place nationwide, in collaboration with architecture schools in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Umeå, and Lund. The project starts in January 2026. During the summer months, practical work will be conducted with participant-based workshops involving participants from the target group. 8 weeks will be dedicated to this work in cities other than Stockholm, with accommodation in hotels.

During the winter months, the main tasks will consist of developing, planning, and evaluating the summer workshops based on dialogues with reference groups from the target group of adults with ID/NPD, as well as from teachers and students at architecture schools.

What does the position entail?

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who can also work independently. You are unpretentious and passionate about helping the project's target group to develop. You will work alongside an architect in the project manager role.

Your tasks will include:

  • Ensuring that the project progresses in accordance with set goals.
  • Planning, organizing, and conducting reference group meetings. This includes everything from creating easy-to-read schedules to making annual plans together with your colleague.
  • Planning, organizing, and conducting practical participant-based design and construction workshops in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Lund, and Umeå.
  • Contact with the project's various partners: architecture schools, public institutions, and municipalities where construction projects are carried out, with daily operations and their coordinators.
  • Developing the project's network with relevant actors.
  • Participating in fairs and events.

Kultur och Kvalitet is a non-profit organization that works for and with cultural workers with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or NPD diagnoses. We aim to develop artistic quality within cultural practice and make quality culture accessible to all.

We are looking for someone who:

-Has relevant academic education in one of the following: architect, landscape architect, urban planner. Other types of design competence are also of interest.

-Communicates fluently in spoken and written Swedish.

-Has experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or NPD diagnoses, or has otherwise worked with people.

Meritorious

Experience in participant-based design processes.

Experience working in non-profit organizations.

Knowledge of writing easy-to-read texts and speaking clearly.

Interest in potentially also working with communication.

Conditions

The position is 75% and is a parental leave substitute for 12 months. There is a possibility for a higher working percentage with an additional 20% position responsible for communication for the project.

Kultur och Kvalitet is affiliated with the collective agreement between Fremia and Unionen/Akademikerförbunden.

We currently apply goal-oriented working hours with a working time measure of 40 hours/week. Work during evenings and weekends may occur.

The work is primarily based at Kultur och Kvalitet's office in Telefonplan, Stockholm, where continuous work will take place together with a reference group from the target group. Practical workshops will occur for about 12 weeks throughout the year, of which 8 weeks will be in cities other than Stockholm. During these weeks, the working percentage is 100%. For other tasks, there is the possibility of remote work.

The position primarily involves working during office hours, but work during evenings and weekends may occur occasionally.

Travel within Sweden is required.

Start date: as soon as possible.
